Fees & Cancellation Policy
Understanding session fees, what's included, Medicare rebates, and what to expect if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
SESSION FEES
What to expect
Fees for psychological services are discussed with you at the time of your initial enquiry. A fee schedule is provided before your first session so there are no surprises. Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients who hold a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from their GP, or a referral from a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, please contact me before your appointment and I can clarify this.
Payment is due at the time of the appointment and can be made by cash or bank transfer.
Your session includes:
-
Treatment planning and preparation
-
Clinical case notes
-
Short letters to your GP or referrer
-
Short emails and phone calls
-
Scoring and interpretation of clinical measures
ADDITIONAL CLINICAL SERVICES
Services billed separately
Some clinical services will be billed separately, at rates that align with those outlined by the NDIS or by the Australian Psychological Society. These additional services will be discussed with you in advance and will only occur with your consent.
Longer phone calls and emails
Longer letters
Reports
Reading background reports
All additional services are discussed and agreed with you in advance. Nothing is billed without your consent.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Changing or cancelling your appointment
We understand that circumstances change and that sometimes appointments cannot be kept. To make the service as accessible as possible for all clients, we ask that you give as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule.
NOTICE REQUIRED
Please provide at least two clear business days' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
LATE CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations made with less than two clear business days' notice may incur a cancellation fee of the full session fee. This fee is not claimable through Medicare or private health insurance.
ILLNESS EXCEPTION
In the event of illness, the session can take place by Telehealth instead of being cancelled.
NON-ATTENDANCE
If you do not attend your scheduled appointment without prior notice, the full session fee may be charged.

We recognise that emergencies happen. If you have an unavoidable situation such as a sudden illness, a family emergency, or another circumstance outside your control, please contact us as soon as possible. These situations are considered on a case-by-case basis.
